Bible Reading Plans

At St. Columba's Church we encourage people to read a portion of the Bible each day. There are many versions of the Bible in print today, and available in all sorts of bookshops.

The version of the Bible we use at St. Columba's Church is the New Living Translation, or the NLT, for short. We do this because it is an easy-to-read modern English version of the scriptures, available in a wide range of printed and electronic formats.

Please click here for Robert Murray M'Cheyne's daily Bible reading plan, which will help you to read the whole of the Bible in a year.  Other online Bible reading plans can be found by click here.

The Church Calendar is now online, you can access it here:

Welcome from the Minister

Welcome to our website. This year, 2008, we are thrilled that our church will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the opening of our church building. 25 years ago the church building was completed, the front doors were opened and our congregation, which had been holding services in a local school, finally moved in. It was an exciting time.

There have been many changes through the years that have passed since then, but God has never changed. He has always remained the same loving, forgiving, perfect and faithful Father in heaven that he has always been.

That’s why our 25th Anniversary will be focusing entirely on God’s greatness and on his goodness to us at St Columba’s Church. We are going to celebrate 25 years of God’s kindness and blessing.

On this website we will be announcing our plans quite soon so do please keep coming back. We’d love to see you at one of our anniversary events, particularly if you once attended this church.

In the meantime, be a partner and pray for us, please.

Your friend,
Louis Kinsey
