Hamewith Sheltered Housing Complex
Hamewith is situated on Harehill Road and it has 50 small flats. The services there are very well attended with 20-30 people each month. We hold our services there on the first Sunday of every month at 12.00am. Some people who live around the sheltered housing complex also come to the services. There is active social life in Hamewith and they love to come to events in the church. We are always looking for people to offer lifts to the residents so if you can help in that way, please contact the church administrator at administrator@stcolumbaschurch.org.uk.
Denmore Very Sheltered Housing Complex
Denmore is the newest complex in our parish. It was opened in 1997 and we have held worship services there since that time. It is a Very Sheltered Housing Complex which offers just a little bit more support than the other complexes. We are fortunate to share the services there with the local Baptist church ensuring the residents have services every 2 weeks.
The services start at 3.30pm and we are treated to a cup of tea at the conclusion at 4.00pm. The residents there love to come to the church Friendship group on a Thursday afternoon and any other social activities we have in the church. There is a pool of drivers to transport the people but we are always on the look out for more. If you can help please contact the church administrator at administrator@stcolumbaschurch.org.uk.
