The team at Kidzone welcome all children for a fun filled time on Sunday mornings. Children visiting the church are especially welcome.

Kidzone’s main aim is to provide encouragement and discipleship for children who have chosen to follow Jesus. We hope to;

• Show them that they are special to God and that he has a plan for their lives.
• Teach them Bible stories and instructions for Christian living.
• Encourage them to pray and read the Bible through the week.
• Equip them to tell their friends about Jesus and what he has done for them.
• Encourage them to bring their friends to Church.

Kidzone is also a great place for any child who wishes simply to learn more about Jesus, and what Christians believe, to come and have their questions answered.

Kidzone is split into three groups. Children aged 3 years to 5 years. Children in Primary 1 to Primary 4 and children in Primaries 5 and 6.

3-5 years.

Margaret, Jayne and Carolyn lead this group of littlies as they learn stories from the Bible through games, play and other fun activities. There are lots of simple action songs and prayers designed to introduce the children to worship and prayer. This group uses the “Minizone” material produced by Children’s Ministry.

Primary 1 - Primary 4.

This group is led by Shona, Sally, Pauline and Norma. There are lots of quizzes and games to take part in, crafts to make and memory verses to learn based on the Bible story and theme for the week. The children split into smaller groups for discussion, the chance to complete activity sheets and the opportunity to share what they’ve learned from the Bible story. Each week the children are encouraged to share prayer requests and pray together. This group uses the “Kidzone” material produced by Children’s Ministry.

Primary 5 and 6.

Elaine and Catherine help this group to go deeper into the week’s Bible story. There’s lots of sharing – prayer requests, answers to prayer, what they’ve learned about God and even food! The children are provided with and encouraged to use small booklets called “Snapshots” which are designed to help them explore the Bible for themselves during the week. This group also uses the “Kidzone” material.

The sermon themes also follow the “Kidzone” material allowing families to chat about what they have all learned that Sunday and help them to learn and grow together.

Children that attend Kidzone are encourage to attend events run jointly by all the Sunday Schools in the Bridge of Don. Through these fun times we hope the children get the chance to make friends and encourage one another in their faith.
